Election Commission Visit to Jammu and Kashmir Concludes; Preparations Reviewed

The day-long visit of the Election Commission of India team to Jammu and Kashmir has concluded, with officials met Chief Secretary Atul Dulloo and DG of Police RR Swain in Jammu to review the preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
During the meeting, discussions were held on various aspects related to the electoral process, including security arrangements, voter registration, polling stations, and communication strategies. The Election Commission team carefully assessed the readiness of the state authorities to conduct free and fair elections in the region.
It has been reported that the schedule for the Lok Sabha elections will be announced in the next couple of days, and with this announcement, the code of conduct will come into effect.
