This visit marked the first time any Waqf Chairperson had visited the site, which is owned by the Waqf Board and maintained by the Archeological Survey of India (ASI).

During her visit, Dr. Darakhshah Andrabi assessed the current situation at the site and engaged with the locals, expressing gratitude for their warm welcome. She also held discussions with representatives from the local society to understand their perspectives and concerns.

In a significant move, Dr. Andrabi issued directives to the Waqf Board authorities to arrange for new and elegant matting of the entire prayer area ahead of the upcoming Eid festival. Additionally, she announced plans to propose the restoration of the historic Pather Masjid to ASI in the near future.

The visit by Dr. Darakhshah Andrabi to the Pather Masjid highlights the commitment of the Waqf Board to preserving and enhancing the cultural heritage of the region. The proposed restoration and upgrade of this iconic site signify a positive step towards maintaining its historical significance for generations to come.
