*Budgam Police arrests 02 drug peddlers, Contraband/Psychotropic Substance recovered*.
Budgam 25th March 2024:
In contiuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Budgam police arrested 02 drug Peddlers and recovered Contraband/Psychotropic substance from their Possession.
While conducting naka checking near Salsbeel High school, the police party of PP Humhama intercepted one vehicle (XUV -500) bearing Registration No : *JK15B-7061* coming from Srinagar towards Humhama with two persons on board.
They disclosed their identity as *Shoib Mohd Pandit S/O Nazir Ahmed Pandit R/O Nundresh Colony Bemina* and *Showket Farooq Dar S/O Farooq Ahmed Dar R/O Asham Bandipora*
During search of the said vehicle, *07 bottles of Navocoff-Plus (Codeine Phosphate) 100 ml each* and *Cash amount of 26000* * were recovered. They were arrested on the spot and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a Case with *FIR No 88/2024* under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Budgam and further investigation has been taken up.
