Budgam Police arrested 01 drug peddler, Contraband/Psychotropic Substance recovered
Budgam 12th March 2024:
In contiuation of its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Budgam police arrested 01 drug Peddler and recovered Contraband/Psychotropic substance from his Possession.
At Sadipora , the police party of PS Beerwah were conducting a naka checking wherein they intercepted one vehicle (Piazio Auto ) bearing Registration No : *JK013-6836* coming from Sanpah towards Kandoora .
The driver disclosed his identity as
*Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh* s/o Habibullah Sheikh
*R/O Samboora Pulwama*
During search of the said vehicle, charas like substance in grinded form weighing about *534 grms and 06 Charas Sticks wrapped in Corn husk weighing about 115 grms* were recovered from his possession. He was arrested on the spot and the vehicle used in the commission of crime has also been seized.
Accordingly, a Case *FIR No 20/2024* under relevant sections of law was registered at PS Beerwah and further investigation has been taken up.
